Day 50: Ahhh yes…

April 25, 2008

So the school year is coming to an end… Thank God. I’ve been doing pretty poorly this year, but it’s okay. I know what classes I’ll have to make up again, and I’m taking summer school as well so I don’t get too far behind. Everything has been great though. I think the warmer weather has brought everyone into a better mood then before, at least to the people that I stay in close contact with. The only problem now is that everyone is getting zits all over their faces because of exams, haha. I’m so lame, but it’s the truth.

I am getting the keys to my new apartment on May 10th, and I’m having a get shitfaced/smoke a few blunts party. You’re invited ; ) I’m not really having a party, I don’t think… I dunno, it’s kind of up in the air…

But I’m glad this freshman year is over. I learned a lot, whether it was about myself or life or school or studying or whatever. It’s been a very eventful year, but I can honestly say I have no regrets, except for I wish I coulda studied more :-/

Yeah, I officially got an apartment off of Boulevard and Monument. It’s awesome. I think I wrote about it before.

Also, I went to the SPCA and met a puppy dog named Mirah. She was sooooooooo sweet.

And I worked today at Firebirds too, and my family came in right before I got off and they bought me dinner. It was delicious. And I’m not just saying that because I work there.

Now I just have to wait till May 10th to move in, and probably a couple days after that to get a dog! And then everything should be in order once my summer sessions roll around. WOO!

Day 48: Shit

April 15, 2008

I haven’t written in this thing since a week ago, which probably isn’t good… but whatever.

My birthday was this past weekend, well, officially it was Friday the 11th, but I celebrated the whole weekend. I didn’t do much, mostly because I don’t have many friends, haha. On Friday, I went out to dinner with my mom to a Chinese places, and then she bought me a Coldstone ice cream cake, which was delicious. Then Saturday I hung out with my man, Jason, and that was fun. He brought me out to one of my favorite restaurants in the whole world, Ichiban, which is over by Godwin High School. And then Sunday, I slept in and then my Uncle Joe from Illinois stopped in, because he had business in Williamsburg or something… Anyway, he came with me and my dad, mom, and sister to what happened to be a sister restaurant to the one Jason and I had gone to the night before. So I had Asian food 3 nights in a row… Oye.

Anyway, I have a sneaky suspicion that my dad is getting me the dog I want for my birthday, because he hasn’t gotten me anything yet, and he keeps asking me questions like, “Well, what if I adopted the dog and then they showed up the next week randomly? What would I tell them?” And then he sits there for a few minutes thinking about it, and he came up with his own excuse… Maybe I’m being too hopeful, though…

I sent in my application to get the apartment that me and my new roommate Megan want last Thursday, and the fucking landlord has yet to tell us whether or not we can have it!! It’s so frustrating because we’ve already bought a few items for the place – a new, gorgeous couch, a beautiful coffee table, a new TV stand – but the motherfucker won’t call us back! I’m so nervous! What if I have no where to live!!!!!!!

PS – I need to stop drinking caffinated (sp?) soda.

“I’ve been driving, a mid sized car,
I never hurt anyone
Is that a fact?
The price of gas keeps on rising
Nothing comes for free
Make like a stone, make like a plant
I can tell you, how this ends

We’re going to win this
With spades and truncheons, guns and trowels
That is how the war will be won
Just swat the fly
Taking care of cars and bodies
Nothing ever comes for me
The ghosts are here, red white and blue

I can tell you how this ends
We’re going to win this”

FUCK GAS PRICES!

Day 45: I’m addicted

April 4, 2008

I’m an addict to dog adoption sites!!! I can’t stop looking for dogs that I want! I got denied from adopting Zeke because I’m not 21 :-( :-(:-( That was super sad. So I’ve been looking non-stop. I’ve found another one, but he might be way way way too big. But he’s so so so so soooooo cute that I might just have to get over that if they let me adopt him.

Is there a prescription I could take for being addicted to adoption sites though?

South Park is too much fun so far this season. Though their Brittney Spears episode wasn’t that good, the one where Cartman gets AIDS and then this past on this Wednesday about Canada was funny! I especially liked the part when they made Butters do that whole “What what in the butt” thing. Hahahaha, I’m watching it on TV right now again and they’re showing the video of Butters now. He’s probably one of my favorite characters. Youtube is too easy to make fun of.

I’m not just sure it’s too easy to make fun of… I’m HIV positive.

Here I am, being a good student, sitting in my Economics class… It’s a night class, obviously, since I’m posting this at 8:38 PM. I have another hour to go until I’m out of here.

I figured a night class would be easier and I was actually thinking about taking more this semester, but thank god I didn’t. I’m never ever going to take a night class again after this. It’s way too much information and it bores me so badly. For some people it might work, but for me, hell no. Especially this semester, since practically all the home basketball games were on Wednesday nights.

So I just wanted to say to those students that get bored when sitting in the same place for two hours and 40 minutes – Don’t sign up for a night class. You’re signing your good GPA away.

Yeah, I got an apartment and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s the perfect size for two girls and their two dogs. I love it! My room has the balcony right off of it too, which is private, and shows an awesome, awesome view of Stonewall Jackson on Monument.

My new roommate, Megan, and I are so soososososoos excited. We went to all these places looking for furniture and already decided on color schemes for each room… It’s going to look so pretty!

We start the lease May 1st, but since we’re taking over the lease for the people that live there now, we’re gunna give them about a week to move all their shit out, and after that we start painting! And after that, we start moving in and figuring out what other furniture and decorative stuff we need.

The only thing to do now is sit back and wait… And look for a puppy dog to adopt into my kick ass apartment.

Day 41: Zeke!!

March 28, 2008

I’m trying to adopt this dog named Zeke. I’m actually saying his name like Zeek, because I don’t know how to say Zeke. Maybe like Zach, but with a weird accent? Who knows… Anyway, he looks and sounds cool as shit. He’s a Boxer/Shepherd mix, 50 pounds, and at 2 years old he knows how to go potty outside, he’s crate trained, and knows how to sit.

The only problem is that I don’t have anywhere to put him until my lease is over on May 31st. I’ve been calling family members and they say they’d help me… It’s just crazy because I want him so bad, but it’s going to take so much to get him now… Plus, I haven’t even told my mom because I know she’ll be all downers about it and I don’t wanna hear about everything that’s going against me. I’m just trying to adopt him into a safe and loving environment, so he doesn’t get euthanized.

It’s Zeke! He’s cute as hell, I know.
